Previous Experience
Our past project experience at Bolster Engineering encompasses many parts of the nation, with significant experience in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and Texas.
Our past project experience at Bolster Engineering encompasses many parts of the nation, with significant experience in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and Texas.
Bolster Engineering prepared the hydraulic analysis and the Flood Alteration Permit for proposed streambank stability improvements within the City of Dallas. This analysis was completed using HEC-RAS to evaluate stream hydraulics and to provide design recommendations that meet city requirements.
Bolster Engineering completed a hydrodynamic rain-on-grid model of a watershed to evaluate historic rainfall events and impacts from recent development. Our analysis was used to develop alternatives to reduce flooding impacts at a community park. This analysis was completed using the two-dimensional (2D) modeling capabilities of HEC-RAS.
Bolster Engineering provided a detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analysis to support a Downstream Assessment for a proposed development. Our analysis was used to permit the project and indicated that, based on the hydrologic characteristics of the watershed and project site, detention would not be required to prevent adverse downstream impacts. This analysis was completed using HEC-HMS to analyze watershed hydrology and HEC-RAS to evaluate hydraulic impacts.
